I am all about being confident and comfortable, glam or not. As someone who aims to have the most outstanding makeup look in the room, I also appreciate the days when a full face of makeup just isn't what I'm looking for.
While I value the effort invested in creating a detailed and captivating makeup look, I believe we can all agree on the importance of allowing our skin to breathe, one day at a time. That's were the "no-makeup" makeup look comes in.
The benefits of this look are that you can manage to do it in a hurry, and still look like you were just dolled up by a makeup artist, all at once. So, every single product that I mention here, fits in your 5-minute makeup routine timeline.
1. Concealer
If someone had asked me to choose one makeup product out of all, for my whole life even, it would be concealer. Occasionally, dark circles or blemishes know how to act up.
A concealer in the perfect shade can be your savior. If you just want to have your face look well blended and still pull off a natural look, concealer is THE choice.
Everyone's makeup routine differs, but on days I don't feel like wearing foundation, I put concealer in my face right after my primer, and it looks so simple, you can barely even see that there is something else rather than bare skin!
2. Clear Lip gloss
One essential I don't leave home without. Not that it only makes your lips look crystal clear, but it also feels so good because of the hydration it provides. What you choose to apply over your lips is mostly preference, although I will always choose lip gloss over matte lipstick.
If you find lip gloss irritating or you're just not into it, a lip balm would give a subtle look as a result.
To my glacier lips lovers; give lip plumper glosses a try! You may feel like you just had some spicy pasta right after you apply it, but you will fall in love, and I swear by juicy lips!
3. Eyelash Gel
Achieving a stunning eyelash look enhances the allure of your eyes. When you're not wearing lash extensions, apply eyelash gel before mascara. This imparts a clean vibe as the brush seamlessly separates lashes, preventing a messy mascara appearance.
I also use my eyelash gel to brush my eyebrows and make them fluffier!
4. Eye Shadow Palette
Your eyes are the gateway to your soul.
Nude eye shadow is top tier, and I don't think it will be an outdated beauty trend any time soon! To get the glow we want, the eyeshadow placement should be correct.
I would suggest you apply a shade of lighter nude to the inner lid and middle of the lid, and then you take a bit of a darker shade, a cozy brown color, and slightly apply it in the outer corner of your eye.
5. Blush
A little blush will never hurt. I find it a necessity. I choose to use cream blush instead of powder and cream blush, since it's not highly pigmented the same way. The cream blush feels so light and it's so easy to blend.
It makes you appear as the sweetie you already are, and your cheeks will love the warmth of this makeup product.
6. Highlighter
As fancy as it may sound, you need highlighter, full glam or not.
Out of all the different highlighter colors, I prefer peach and gold. My skin is kind of oily, so I use cream highlighter. It contains shimmer, but not glitter. I put it on my cheeks, on my cupid's bow, and at the top of my nose. I am obsessed with the simple glow!
Depending on your skin type, you may find liquid highlighter, or even powder highlighter personally effective, but you want highlighter as an overall makeup product because you surely need to show off your unique features.
